I haven’t cared deeply about Nasir in a long time and I can’t say Damian Marley is even my fifth or sixth favorite reggae artist, but for some reason I’m excited about this. Mostly because it seems like something that could not have happened if the entire fucking record industry hadn’t collapsed on itself. Also, Damian working with rappers (Snoop’s “Get A Light,” B-Real’s “Fire,” the Biggie remix of “Welcome 2 Jamrock,” and Marley’s own “Welcome to Zion” with Nas) surprisingly works.
