I thought it was strange that this piece didn’t acknowledge Adlon’s role in HBO’s ignored but interesting Unscripted. In her episodes viewers often saw Adlon doing voice work for cartoons, which was fascinating. Also fascinating: Krista Allen in a reality-drama series about aspiring actors. Less fascinating: George Clooney, one of Unscripted’s producers, was nailing Krista Allen when she was cast.
