My hometown paper, and minions of the Sam Zell-controlled Tribune Co. is the lastest victim of de-artsing, in which the cultural voice and expertise of the paper is cut at the knees. Shameful shit. Gene Seymour was a fine critic. And John Anderson, who took a buyout similar to this some time ago, was a major influence on a young kid from Huntington Station. I’m in the wrong racket.
