To The Playlist’s Question “Is The ‘X-Men Wolverine’ Movie Turning Into The C-List ‘G.I.Joe’ Film?”

Um, no. This is a lot of characters for one film, sure. A popcorn film, it should be mentioned. And yes, some roles are occupied by no-names or wish-they-weren’ts — we hear you on will.i.am. But all in all, this seems to be a good mix of accomplished character actors and unflashy-if-unknown performers. Lyn Collins? Sharp. Danny Huston? Inspired. Taylor Kitsch? Dude’s probably going to be very famous. Friday Night Lights is small potatoes but Kitsch has always been promoted as something other than second-string on a little-watched primetime drama. We’ll see how he does with the Cajun accent.

Still, we can’t help but ask: Is this all sounds so bad to you, why even write about it?
