Easily the best film I’ve seen all year. By a country mile. Currently buying all of the Armando Iannucci shows not converted to U.S., spending exorbitant amounts of flimsy American currency at amazon.co.uk. Re-watching I’m Alan Partridge. Digging deep into the ouevre of one Anna Chlumsky (Vada Sultenfuss!). Reconsidering Gandolfini in the way that he is demanding because he doesn’t want to be Anthony Soprano forever. Investigating why I know nothing about Peter Capaldi. Remembering Gina McKee from Croupier. Marvelling at David Rasche taking the inversion of his role from Burn After Reading and transforming it into a classic of uptight efficacy. Every single actor is terrific. The writing is astoundingly funny. Inspiring even. Probably demands two sittings to catch every joke, as they’re whizzing by your head like so many pigeons. See it.

Well, if Fennessey and Manohla like it… I’ll make...mental note. It also doesn’t hurt...
