It’s easy for me to forget, or worse ignore, a small release like Brother Ali’s The Truth is Here EP. His last album bored me and it’s not tough being cynical. But his thoughtful, intensely vulnerable interview with Jesse Thorn on The Sound of Young America made me remember to go back. It’s not a great project, but “Real As Can Be” is a grabber.
